After a long hiatus, S & H Publishing, Inc. has jumped back into publishing with renewed spirit and motivation. We have added quite a few titles you're sure to love, including a new book from one of your favorite authors,Bad News Travels Fast, the next in the Bernie O'Dea mystery series by Maureen Milliken, and some exciting new books from new authors. Catherine Pomeroy's debut novel, The Gulch Jumpers takes us on a journey with unlikely travel companions, each with a different mission. In Stranglehold, another debut work, Colleen Grimes sets mismatched detectives on the trail of a serial killer. Gila Green wrote Passport Control in a kibbutz in Israel, adding to the international aspect of our collection.
Not only has our fiction collection taken giant strides, but we have started a new category of books, creative non-fiction. For those of you unfamiliar with the genre, the basic information (story, characters, events, facts) are true yet the words of dialogue are written as one would write fiction——adding tension, interest, and readability. Our first foray into the world of non-fiction is Caregiver: You Are Not Alone by Bobbi Carducci. This novella-sized collection of vignettes, essays, facts and advice for caregivers and members of the family packs an impact that reaches far beyond a day's read.
The most recent addition to our collection, Omaha to Ogallala, is our second creative non-fiction work. Terry Korth Fischer, two sisters, and two nieces trek across Nebraska as they try to reconnect as family. Three sisters--how hard can it be?
